Cold weather proves no feat for Lady Titans
Albeit the cool air and strong wind, the Bishop Tonnos cross-country team headed out to the ever-important GHAC meet today. The weather did not prove to be an obstacle for the Titans, however, as both the Midget and Junior Girls' teams came first in the city of Hamilton and second overall at the meet.
The Junior Girls' team, consisting of Kristy Kastelic, Erin Bethune, Janie O'Brien, Brooke Leggat and Maddie Leggat has a history of wins, placing in first and second at the DREAMS and HAWK meets, respectively. This is a first win for the Midget Girls, however, who truly gave it their all today.
Other honourable mentions go to Alex Russell who also qualified for OFSAA as an individual in the Junior Boys category, and Andrew Barichello who placed second in Hamilton overall.
The team is now eagerly awaiting the provincial OFSAA meet in Sarnia.
