It doesn't get much bigger in Hamiton, with The Festival of Friends music festival on at Gage Park, the Mardi Gras Carnival parade and music at Bayfront Park and a critical Ticat home game against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers at Ivor Wynne stadium. How are you spending your weekend in the city?
We took in the last nite of the festival, great crafts, decent prices (people WILL bargain with you) great food, free entertainment. No parking worrys b/c i WALK. Looking forward to next yr. Ti-cat tickets are too expensive, plus im sick of all the bickering between owners & politician

The stadium debate has NOTHING to do with the players or the coaching staff. So why punish the team??
Good luck tonight, Ti-Cats! We'll all be cheering for you!!

Oskee-wee-wee! Or should I say Oskee-wah-wah with all the attitudes towards the Ticats. I'm not a huge fan but at least most Hamiltonians will support their local team, no matter how little they think of the ownership.
After all the whining the rest of the 'boycotters' will probably be first in line to jump on the bandwagon the next time they're in the final - if there ever is a next time...

I don't care if the Cats win every single game from now to the end of time... They'll still be losers to me. By the way, I think West Harbour and East Mountain are as pathetic as their corporate welfare CFL team. Whichever mayor will send those cats to the SPCA to be put down will get my vote.

All you people who are threatening to boycott the Cats make me sick! You're the type of people we wouldn't want at a Cats game anyway! Nothing but fairweather fans and poor losers! Stay away! It will make the game better for the rest of us who know what really puts Hamilton on the map!

Boycott the Ticats, starting tonight.

Just got back from the festival of friends, walked over there with the family. Not a bad event, I go most years.

The Festival of Friends is just a bunch of junk crafts for sale, expensive rides and alot of scary looking people. Ticats suck. Can't seem to find anything on the Mardi Gras Carnival.

I'll never go to a Ticat game again unless they are playing at the west harbour.
Bob Young's record as owner of the Cats - 26 wins vs. 86 loses. He and his staff obviously don't know how to build a football team, so why should we believe he can build a successful football stadium?

The Festival of Friends has been a staple in Hamilton since the hippie days of the early '70's. Where else can you see quality acts, great crafts, and amazing international food FOR FREE?
I live out of town, so it might be tough for me to get to it every year, but whenever the chance presents itself, I'm there in my tie-dye, sandals and shorts! So many years the Festival has been plagued with bad weather, but this weekend is supposed to be glorious, so come on out and support it, or the City may lose it, just like so many other things that fall victim to apathy! This year it's Dr. John, Squeeze, and Richie Havens....man, it's the '60's and '70's all over again....groovy!!

It's not that my family and I wouldn't want to attend any of these events BUT Ticat tickets ARE NOT CHEAP and even though it's free for these festivals - you and I know you need money to go - We're staying at home and making the best of a "poor" situation!

Don't forget also, UFC 117 tonight. The bars are going to be packed.
